I was born and brought up in the Wye Valley near the market town of Chepstow. I have been exploring this beautiful part of the country for most of my life, and it has been a major influence on my work for the past thirty years.
I am currently working in oils and acrylics, after spending many years working in pastels. My recent works are inspired by the forest; the light, the colours, the sounds, the smells, the patterns, the buzzy things! I love the feeling of connection and the sense that everything is just as it should be. I love the way the calm grows out of the chaos, the way you can walk into an ash grove and be stopped in your tracks by the complete and utter peace, and the reminder that there`s only the present moment....and that everything else is in our heads. |
